This was a custom request for a Schipperke club as a first place raffle prize! The other dogs shown are in the same Non-Sporting group with the Schipperke. I just had to give the Xoloitzcuintli second place, what an exotic, bronze statue of a dog!

This was a commission to give to a "Movie Buddy," who had a West Highland White Terrier. I thought myself pretty clever on this one.

I received a commission to do portraits of beloved family pet bassets but somehow involve the recipients love for killer whales! I thought they could at least race side by side.

Granted, this wasn't a commission, just a crazy idea I had. OF COURSE the mustached bartender kitty is going to be pouring out saucers of milk.

I mean, does it need explaining? VIP service for a cat party MUST have box seats. And a lot of catnip.

I have done variations of this design on trays and hotplates. It makes the perfect accent at a party!

This was an ambitious project, but I love how it turned out.

This piece was modeled after a plate purchased in Italy, and they requested it in a different size/shape. I am a sucker for Italian design.

The woman who received this as a gift had been married to a man that worked on the Atlantis Shuttle. The space program was near and dear to her heart. Being a NASA lover myself, it was a labor of love!

The matriarch and her two offspring - these beloved pets enjoyed lazy days at a home flush with prized yellow roses.

I just love this little guy. I believe he lives out in Florida. Pictured here with his favorite toy, and tribute to his sibling Sunny.

Ironically with those ears... he did lose his hearing when he got older. Wonderful, sweet little dog.

This gorgeous girl is an eternal puppy! I did her portrait twice because USPS chose to break one of them in transit :(

I remember doing this for a woman that was going to give it to her son's girlfriend. I thought it was such a thoughtful gift!

This portrait is on a tile that can either be put on the wall or used as a hotplate or coaster on the table, so you can see it everyday!

I've done a few commissions for an area bird watcher, which introduced me to these exotic looking ducks. I love that they are native to the area!

This commission is on the lid of a little ceramic box. Makes the perfect gift.

Sadly, a lot of my pet commissions are memories. Sylvie had such a sweet, soulful face. This picture reminds me of why I like pet portraiture - the animal isn't staring into a lens, they're staring at their owner and you can just see it!

This is one of two mugs that I did as a gift for the owner of this dog and his mother. Such an incredibly smart, amazing dog. For the mom, I painted the dog in the window seat, staring out to the school beyond where they would people watch together. For the owner, the favorite toys and joy in the snow.

Some of my pet portraits veer more toward the cartoon - this one was requested to be as chubby as I could make him!

One of my absolute favorite commissions. "I have a dog that's half pitbull and half weiner dog, head of a pitbull but feet like a dachshund." "okay this I NEED to see."
